Role Description

This is a remote and full-time Contract role(freelancing) for a Head of Hydraulic Engineering & Projects located in Athens, Greece.

The Head of Hydraulic Engineering & Projects will manage the area of responsibility below:

• Oversee and manage hydraulic engineering projects and scope
• Lead Proposals, Bidding, Subcontracting and Negotiation phases
• Lead and mentor hydraulics engineering teams, partners and subcontractors, ensuring project targets and milestones
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• Review all the Hydraulics Engineering deliverables and take responsibility of Mindser's engineering quality
• Deliver, if required, Hydraulics Engineering Design (Hydraulic Studies and Reports, PIDs, Flow Diagrams, Stress Analysis, Isometric Drawings, etc.)
• Attend short team Meetings in Switzerland and/or Saudi Arabia(2-4 meetings per year, 2-3 days per meeting)
• Develop and organise the In-house Hydraulics PM structure
• Create stable, long term partnerships with international Hydraulics teams
• Work on Business Strategy, Sales and Development together with the other 2 Engineering Managers(Electrical and Civil) and the Managing Director

• Leadership, Team Management and Engineering Management skills.
• Experience in Project Management either as Project Manager or in other leading roles within a Project structure.
• Experience in Hydraulic Engineering required (4 years min.).
• Proficient in Software relevant to hydraulic engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited University (5 years min. studies).
• Experience in the Water sector is a strong plus.
• Professional Network in Greece and/or Saudi Arabia is a strong plus.
• Entrepreneurial and strong ownership mindset is mandatory.
• Committed, trustworthy and goal-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
• Fluent in Greek language. Proficient in English(C1 min.). Basic knowledge of German beneficial(B1).
