Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Funding Consultant/Expert with a deep understanding of the Swiss innovation ecosystem to help us identify, apply for, and secure primarily "free money" (non-dilutive funding) and state-backed financial instruments.

This is a temporary, scope-based, freelancing position that should be completed by June 2026.

Further and stable collaboration will be established, depending the results and the active programs.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Funding Roadmap: Audit our business model to identify eligible programs (e.g., Innosuisse Innovation Cheques, Start-up Innovation Projects, Incubators, Ahead Zürich, Cantonal grants etc).
• Application Management: Lead the end-to-end writing and submission of high-quality proposals.
• Official Liaison: Act together with our founder as our interface with Swiss institutions such as S-GE (Switzerland Global Enterprise) and SERV for export-related support.
• Strategic Advisory: Advise on state-backed loan guarantees and financial instruments to strengthen our liquidity.

• Proven Success: You have a portfolio of successfully secured grants/subsidies for Swiss SMEs or Start-ups.
• Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the requirements of the Zurich Division of Business and Economic Development, federal agencies or other applicable local regulations.
• Hands-on Approach: You don't just "consult"; you prepare the documents, handle the portal submissions, and ensure we win.
• Experience with International Scope (optional): Familiarity with S-GE (Switzerland Global Enterprise) or SERV (Export Risk Insurance) is a plus given our International projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English).
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with founders and stakeholders.
• Professional Network in Switzerland is required.
• Entrepreneurial and strong ownership mindset.
• Committed, trustworthy and goal-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.

Compensation:

We are looking for an external, result-oriented partnership. We are open to a structure involving a Retainer for the preparation phase + a Success Fee (%) based on the funding secured.
